What We’re Playing – Week of 10/2/17

Hey there, Rock Lobsters!! Here’s the sweet new picks for our rotation this week:

  1. The World is a Beautiful Place and I am No Longer Afraid to Die – Always Foreign
    [Epitaph; 2017]
The third record from beloved Connecticut emo outfit TWIABP is as hard-hitting and beautiful as the rest of their lengthy discography, but adding even slicker production to the mix and much more intense songwriting.
  2. Wolf Alice – Visions of a Life
    [RCA; 2017]
Wolf Alice’s sophomore album continues the British rock sound they’ve been doing so well at creating, by writing heavy, intense songs all about anxiety and the fear of the deaths of everyone around you.

  3. Jamila Woods – HEAVN
    [Jagjaguwar; 2016/2017]
Originally released last year to critical acclaim, Jamila Woods‘ debut record HEAVN was reissued by Jagjaguwar so more and more people can learn more about the underrated, immensely talented Chicago-based singer.
