On Tuesday, Cleveland indie-rockers Cloud Nothings dropped “Leave Him Now”, the second single off of their upcoming album, Last Building Burning. Coming just over a year after the band’s last record, this will be the band’s fifth studio album and is slated for release on Oct. 19 via Carpark Records.

According to Consequence of Sound, “Leave Him Now” is about someone who is undeserving of the attention he is getting from a woman, and its frenetic guitar and raw vocals emphasize frontman Dylan Baldi’s recent obsession with “energy” and “intense, controlled chaos.”

The first single off the record, “The Echo Of The World”, was released in August, and both singles are now streaming. In addition, Last Building Burning is available for preorder on various platforms ahead of its Oct. 19 release date.

Last Burning Building follows Cloud Nothings’ last record, 2017’s Life Without Sound, which was received with enthusiasm for its almost-polished production while maintaining a solidly-rocking attitude. The band has been sorely missed by its fans since the release of Life Without Sound, and if the excitement surrounding “The Echo Of The World” and “Leave Him Now” is any indication, Last Burning Building is sure to be worth the wait.

Just after the record drops, Cloud Nothings will begin a several-month North American and European tour. Check out a full list of dates below and secure your tickets here.
