Kanye West, ever the perplexing figure, has had a week full of ups and downs. On Sept. 27, West announced that his upcoming project Yandhi, will release tomorrow, Sept. 29.
“We’re releasing Yandhi Saturday night. We know it will come in number two to my brother Lil Wayne and that’s lovely. The universe needs Ye and Wayne music at the same time.”
According to the Fader, he has also confirmed features from Ty Dolla $ign, XXXtentacion and 6ix9ine.

The latter two of this trio have been involved with sexual misconduct allegations. West was vocal of his support of these men, listing them amongst his favorite new artists in spite of the controversy surrounding them.
Additionally, Kanye shared an Instagram post in support of ASAP Bari, who was arrested earlier this year and charged with two counts of sexual assault.
“Bari challenged me when no one else did and when he got in trouble I was scared to say he was my friend just like I did with xxx and that was some pussy shit on my part.”
Kanye goes on to refer to both himself and Bari as “Jedis”, saying they wouldn’t let “cancel culture” come between them.
West has proven himself to be a monolithic figure throughout his career, and the same unapologetic personality that led to his success has so divided his fanbase in 2018.
