Last year, Soccer Mommy, also known as Nashville musician Sophie Allison, became prominent after the release of her debut studio album Clean, an album that lauded acclaim from critics and audiences alike and landed on many year-end lists.
Since then, Soccer Mommy has toured constantly, playing festivals and sold-out shows. The project’s upcoming run of shows, supporting Wilco and Vampire Weekend, starts next week. Find Soccer Mommy’s full itinerary here.
The musician’s latest single is available now.
“‘Lucy’ is a really fun song for me because it has a dark, evil vibe,” said Allison in a press release about her new song. “It’s a song about struggling with inner demons and your own morality, but I masked it with this scenario of being seduced by the devil.”
“Lucy” is available on all streaming platforms. The 7” vinyl, put out by recording company Loma Vista Records, is set to ship in December, includes a digital download of the track and can be preordered here. In addition to the vinyl record, bundles with other merchandise specific to the new track are available.
