Lean Year, an experimental folk duo from Richmond, Virginia, confirmed on Tuesday, October 22 that they will embark on short tour beginning on October 28.

The group will start their tour in North Carolina, performing alongside Angel Olsen. Their following performances will take them to Brooklyn, Bloomington, Chicago and more with Matt O’Connell of Elephant Micah, Erik Hall of In Tall Buildings and Wild Belle.
After the separation of his previous band, Spokane, and a nearly decade-long career writing and directing films, Rick Alverson will return to the stage on this tour for the first time since 2007. Alverson also recently premiered his newest film, titled The Mountain, which stars Jeff Goldblum and Tye Sheridan.
Lean Year will record their second album this fall, which is expected to release sometime in 2020 through Western Vinyl.
