Country music duo Thompson Square will perform at Stuart’s Opera House in Nelsonville on Sunday, November 3, as part of a U.S. tour in support of their third album, Masterpiece.
Masterpiece is the husband-and-wife team’s newest album and their first full-length release since 2013. The album features a diverse sonic landscape across its 11 tracks. Taking a more personal approach to its lyrics, Masterpiece is named after what the couple considers their own masterpiece: their son.
Masterpiece also sees the duo departing from their previous record label and working with producers Nathan Chapman, Dann Huff and Ilya Toshinskiy. Despite having no shortage of assistance, however, the couple also self-produced a handful of tracks on the album.
Thompson Square began in Nashville when Keifer and Shawna Thompson met while competing against each other in a local singing competition. Over the pair’s 19 years of marriage, their career has seen critical success in the Grammy, CMA and ACM Awards, as well as landing two #1 hits in 2010 and 2012.
Tickets for Thompson Square’s performance at Stuart’s on November 3 are on sale now. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. with the event beginning at 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased here or by calling 740-753-1924.
