Quinlan also recently announced a tour, which will begin in January 2020, to support the release of Likewise. During the tour, Quinlan will collaborate with other musicians, including harpist Mary Lattimore, Death Cab For Cutie’s Ben Gibbard and punk-pop artist Indigo de SouzaFive new dates were added to Quinlan’s tour on Tuesday, including a performance at SXSW in March 2020.

Just like “Now That I’m Back,” Likewise will feature Quinlan’s narrative storytelling to reflect on the topics of love and relationships.

I frighten myself with thoughts of love disappearing from my life, or of my hardening as a person,” said Quinlan about her newest track. “I’ve had some odd chapters over the last few years. I think this song came out of one of them.”

Quinlan began her career as a solo acoustic artist in 2005, and her project eventually became Hop Along. The band’s latest album, Bark Your Head Off, Dog, was released in 2018. Likewise marks Quinlan’s return to a solo career with the assistance of bandmate Joe Reinhart.
