The band announced the release of a new single, titled “Clench to Stay Awake,” on Twitter. In following tweets, they also announced their next album, Kiss My Super Bowl Ring, which is set for release on March 13.
The band, consisting of twin brothers Fletch and Wyatt Shears, is known for its perpetually-evolving sound and energetic live performances. The Garden’s first album, The Life And Times Of A Paperclip, was released in 2013 on Burger Records.
The Garden later signed with Epitaph Records and released their sophomore album, Haha, in 2015. Their latest album, Mirror Might Steal Your Charm, was released in 2018. Mirror Might Steal Your Charm received critical acclaim and featured other artists on various tracks, such as Mac Demarco on “Thy Mission.”
The band has been hinting at new material since late December 2019.
The Garden also announced their Kiss My Super Bowl Ring North American tour, which will begin on March 26. Mirror Kisses, a “vocally driven pop project” by George Clanton, will join them. The tour will run through May 3. Find dates and more information here.
