“Food for Love” will be benefiting the New Mexico Association of Food Banks. New Mexico is ranked as the second highest in the United States for poverty rates. “The Navajo and other Native American lands have long been short of basic health, jobs and education services – so the impact of Covid on these folks has been devastating,” Byrne said in a press release discussing the “Food for Love” benefit concert. The concert is free to stream, but donations are welcomed through the Food for Love website. Every $1 that is donated provides up to four meals for someone in need. Byrne also made a playlist to celebrate the performance. The playlist is filled with music by the artists scheduled to perform at Saturday’s concert.
