“I wrote this song when I was in a really bad place which was characterized mostly by this idea that I wasn’t a good person and didn’t deserve good things,” said Baby Queen, also known as Bella Latham, in a press release from Grandstand Media.
The music video, directed by Semera Khan and Saorla Houston, draws inspiration from Baby Queen’s favorite line she’s ever written: “I don’t wanna do drugs anymore / If you saw me through the eyes of a bathroom stall, your skin would crawl.” It features Baby Queen experiencing a range of emotions, all in a set constructed to resemble a restroom.
“These Drugs” follows Baby Queen’s single “Raw Thoughts” and her EP, Medicine. Both Medicine and “Raw Thoughts” are available to be streamed on Apple Music and Spotify.
