Sydney-based alternative indie-rock outfit Middle Kids have released a new single, “Stacking Chairs”. The piece is the fourth song from the group’s upcoming project, Today We’re The Greatest, releasing March 19. “Stacking Chairs” focuses on Middle Kids’ childhood memories and thoughts on love.

“I never thought I was going to get married – I didn’t think I would be able to love someone forever. I was scared that I would feel trapped and suffocated or alternatively leave or be left with a pile of ash and rubble,” songwriter Hannah Joy said in a press release.
Middle Kids recorded Today We’re The Greatest in Los Angeles with producer Lars Stalfors. The project is composed of 12 tracks that each promise to be as personal as the already released singles suggest.
“Stacking Chairs” follows the release of fellow singles “R U 4 ME?”, “Questions” and “Cellophane (Brain)”. These songs, along with the group’s debut album, Lost Friends, are available to be streamed on Apple Music and Spotify.
