After the tour for their EP, A Little Rhythm and a Wicked Feeling, was canceled last year due to the pandemic, the group generated a lot of hype for this upcoming project through their ultra-online presence. Magdalena Bay’s dedicated social media following eagerly awaits their first full-length album, which has been teased for quite some time now.

“Hysterical Us” and its accompanying video is the last of four early releases for Mercurial World, all of which have been setting up a very promising album release. This most recent track gives an exciting glimpse at the existential, psychedelic journey Magdalena Bay has in store for us. With the bright eclectic patterns, puppets and brilliant art-car featured in the music video, it is clear that there’s a lot to be excited about in this album.

The band’s website features tour dates and pre-download links hidden within a nostalgic cyberspace full of click adventures and mini-games, which are very indicative of their tastes as a band. Check out Magdalena Bay’s interactive website here, to see how they plug their work in both fun and innovative ways.
