The trio consisting of Phoebe Bridgers, Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus attracted a loyal fanbase after releasing their widely-adored, self-titled EP, boygenius, and embarked on a North American tour in 2018.
The group hasn’t formally played together since their 2018 tour, but members of the trio collaborate frequently. Baker played a surprise opening set for Bridgers at her show in Berkeley, CA during her tour in support of her newest album, Punisher, and the two closed out the night by playing a number of songs together. Bridgers later posted a video on Instagram in which Baker walks onstage to the crowd’s delight. Baker’s most recent album, Little Oblivions, also features backup vocals from Bridgers and Dacus on “Favor”.
Tickets to the intimate benefit show have already sold out, but donations can still be made to benefit Bread & Roses.
