Athens-based band In Flow released their first single “Flowers” on streaming services last week.

The track is the first of In Flow’s catalog to be released.  The band has been playing “Flowers” at live performances for almost two years. When asked about how it felt to finally release a studio version of the song, the band stated that “It was great to finally get material out… our goal is to play as many shows as possible, and what was holding us back from that was not having a physical copy for people to jump in and find out who In Flow is.”

In Flow have been busy lately. They are working on their upcoming EP, which consists of four songs that were recorded at Ohio University and Hocking College, and they have even more music in the works. The band described the recording of their upcoming EP as being “kind of like a new chapter for the band.”

The group is set to play an EP release show at The Union on Friday alongside Namen Namen and Rent Free. When asked about the show, In Flow said that they are “trying to make it a real audio visual experience” and that they are trying to make it a bash for the EP to start off spring break right.

This is sure to give the Athens music scene something to look forward to as it ushers in a new season.  To check out In Flow and stay up to date on shows, releases, and everything else, follow their instagram here.
