Athens has an array of concerts happening throughout March and April as its annual fest season kicks off the end of spring semester for Ohio University students. Many local bands are on the lineups, showcasing their talent and energy to new crowds weekly.
As March comes to an end, there are many shows still up and coming for those in Athens to attend.
The Union is planning for more shows next month. Artists such as Steven King, Goddess Collective Burlesque and Fiesta Latina will be performing. ACRN will also host their annual Lobsterfest starting April 22 and Brick City Records will have a showcase of bands from their label on April 21.
Blackout Booking will also be sponsoring more concerts throughout March and April as well at The Union.
Additionally, Donkey Coffee & Espresso will also be hosting future music events next month, including their weekly open-mic nights. Open-mic is Thursdays at 8 p.m.
There will be a CD release party for singer-songwriter Albert Rouzie April 9 at 8 p.m. Dan Heidt, Ron Freeman and Bruce Dalzell will also be performing at Donkey April 16 at 8 p.m.

- April 2: Judge Russo, Golomb, Cellar Dwellar, Big Fat Head at The Union – 7 p.m.
- April 4: Heart to Gold with Kaiba and girl songs – 7 p.m.
- April 9: Albert Rouzie CD release party at Donkey Coffee & Espresso – 8 p.m.
- April 16: Dan Heidt, Ron Freeman and Bruce Dalzell at Donkey Coffee & Espresso – 8 p.m.
- April 21: Brick City Records showcase
- April 22: ACRN’s Lobsterfest
