Legendary pop-punk band Blink-182 have announced they are reuniting with founding member and original vocalist Tom DeLonge. This is the first time the classic line-up of Mark Hoppus, Travis Barker, and DeLonge has been together since 2015. Along with the reunion of the band comes news about a new single titled “Edging” that will be released this Friday, October 14.

DeLonge left the band in 2015 but Hoppus and Barker continued to release music under the Blink-182 name. The duo brought in Alkaline Trio’s Matt Skiba to fill in for DeLonge, released California in 2016, and NINE in 2019.

The band also announced a world tour starting in 2023, with groups including Turnstile, The Story So Far, Rise Against, and Wallows as the supporting acts.

Drummer Travis Barker has kept quite busy on the music front for the past few years. He’s been producing and having guest appearances with acts like Run the Jewels, Machine Gun Kelly, WILLOW, and Avril Lavigne among many others.

In early 2021, bassist Mark Hoppus announced that he had cancer and was going under chemotherapy. Later that year, he announced on his social media accounts that he was cancer-free. In an interview from August 2022 that Hoppus did with People magazine, he said “It was the first time that all three of us were in the same room in, like, five years. It’s actually better than it used to be. There was no agenda. There were no lingering grudges. It felt very back to what it should be: three friends sitting in a room.… Everybody’s in a really great place right now.”
