Today, alternative artist Snail Mail announced a five-night festival, “Valentine Fest,” slated for this February at Baltimore’s Ottobar. The venue is an homage to lead singer Lindsey Jordan’s hometown, where the band launched itself back in 2015.

Snail Mail will be performing each night of the festival, switching up the set list each time. Jordan also has a planned line-up of guest performers, which remains a secret for now.
In an interview with Variety, Jordan said, “We have some fucking insane bands on there, one of them I’m pretty sure is getting back together just for this. The idea was to have a new band that we are friends with and admire as the first opener, a legend as the second and then Snail Mail. So the lineup would be the future, the past and the present.”
The set of live shows is the result of Snail Mail’s most recent album, 2021’s Valentine. Since its release, Jordan also told Variety she’s started working on the band’s follow-up and recently auditioned to play Madonna in a new biopic, with the role going to Julia Garner. She’s also set to appear in A24’s upcoming horror film, I Saw the TV Glow.
The festival begins next year on Feb. 10 and ends on Valentine’s Day. Jordan initially wanted “Valentine Fest” to happen this year, but needed time to recover from a recent vocal surgery.
Tickets for “Valentine Fest” go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m.
