Sabrina Carpenter kicked off her first-ever stadium tour last Tuesday in Columbus, Ohio. She gave audiences the fashionable, old Hollywood-style glamor fans have come to love and expect from Carpenter during her Short ‘n Sweet Tour.

The opening night show was received positively, as was her album Short n’ Sweet which debuted and remained in the number one spot on the Billboard 200 chart for an impressive three weeks, (narrowly beating a similarly timed release from Travis Scott).
While this is Carpenter’s first stadium tour, she is no stranger to performing live. This is her fifth tour to date, and her last go-around gained attention for her ultra-feminine looks. Her previous shows were bookended with the cheeky outros she would come up with for each city while performing “Nonsense.”
Sabrina built anticipation for Short ‘n Sweet’s release by releasing singles “Espresso” and “Please Please Please” which immediately grabbed people by the ear. Upon the album’s release on Aug. 23, listeners were especially hooked by rising hits like “Bed Chem” and “Taste.”
In addition to Carpenter’s music, her stage presence is strong, and ever-improving. She garnered considerable praise for her unique stage design and show introduction. Carpenter begins the performance with a charming, sixties-style pre show before singing “Taste.” The stage was set to look like a midcentury modern Polly Pocket house, complimenting the carefully curated aesthetic of Short n’ Sweet.
