Kim Deal dropped her newest song “A Good Time Pushed” today. This is the third song to be released from her upcoming debut album Nobody Loves You More. Over the summer, she came out with two songs; “Coast” and “Crystal Breath,” which included a music video.

Previously, Deal’s solo career only included ten singles released from 2013 to 2014. Her newest album follows after the 2018 release of The Breeders’ album All Nerve, which came out after a ten year hiatus. Also after the hiatus, Breeders opened for Olivia Rodrigo’s Guts tour in 2024.

Deal formed Breeders in 1989 in Dayton, Ohio. Their first album Pod was released the following year. She is most known for work on Last Splash, with hits “Cannonball” and “Divine Hammer.” During this time, Deal was also the bassist for the Pixies and worked on their first five albums. She created Breeders to have more creative control with her lyricism and to be a frontwoman. She left in 2013, and Pixies’ Indie Cindy was released the following year. Kim Deal has continued to work with the Breeders since its beginning with her bandmates.

Deal is working with Breeders bandmates Jim Macpherson and Kelley Deal. “A Good Time Pushed” was audio engineered by Steve Albini, who passed away on May 7 this year. Kim Deal’s album Nobody Loves You More comes out on November 22.
