Lady Gaga never left and she is here to tell us that she won’t be going anywhere! Recently, we have seen a lot of Gaga with her recent work as Harley Quinn in the new film Joker: Folie à Deux, the extension of her character with her album Harlequin and her collaborative single with Bruno MarsDie With A Smile.” Gaga has made it quite clear that she is making the most out of this year. Just in time for Halloween, Gaga released “Disease,” a new single that gives the little monsters a look into her new album, which is anticipated to come out in February.

Right off the bat, this song has a beat that can and will get the listener hooked from the first ten seconds. The first thing we hear are the background vocals, of which Gaga is rather known for. These vocals add a crazy depth to the track that brings the old Gaga sound.

Not only is Gaga going back to her roots with the background vocals and catchy beat, but also with her lyrics. This song is an incredibly vulnerable telling of her struggles as not only an artist but also a star. Within the song, Gaga uses the line “God without a prayer,” this line alone isn’t incredibly notable. However, looking into her earlier releases like The Fame Monster, she references religion throughout the album. Unlike in her album Chromatica, where all her lyrics are rather straightforward, she makes the listener think a little more for this one.

Lady Gaga has given her little monsters a taste of her new album and so far, it is more than worth the wait. Let the anticipation until February build!
