On November 12, alternative rock band My Chemical Romance surprised fans with an announcement that the band would be undertaking a new tour in 2025, featuring performances of their 2006 studio album The Black Parade in its entirety.

The tour will be held in stadiums across North America, kicking off on July 11 in Seattle, Washington and hitting 10 stops, including Los Angeles, Toronto and the band’s home state of New Jersey.

This marks the band’s first tour since their 2022 Reunion Tour, which had experienced numerous setbacks and schedule issues due to COVID-19. Each stop is slated to have a new supporting act, featuring performances from bands such as Evanescence, Death Cab for Cutie and Wallows

Mikey Way, bassist and brother of lead singer Gerard Way, took to Instagram to share his excitement for the tour following the initial announcement:

“What a long and wonderful journey this has been. Currently feeling an overwhelming loss for words. So I’ll start with this… THANK YOU.” He wrote, “I can’t believe we get to do this! Here’s to summer 2025, with my brothers, with my friends and with all of you. Long live The Black Parade!”

Rhythm guitarist Frank Iero also took to Instagram, sharing on his story with the caption: “8 years ago I had a dream mychem played Metlife Stadium. Today we announce the show I dreamt of … New Jersey Forever.”The tour announcement, however, has not been the only surprise in store for fans of the band, as the My Chemical Romance Instagram page has seemingly released multiple teasers alongside the tour dates. Their page now features a minute-long short film released alongside the announcement that tickets would be on sale this Friday, November 15. The video has also been uploaded to their YouTube channel that features a description which leaves more clues for fans to follow on this new journey for the band.
