Athens-based band The HouseGuest released their new single “Match” this morning. The band also announced the release of a new four-track EP following the release of their 2024 album Yard Art

In a statement from the band, they describe “Match” as an “exploration into personal experiences and the impact of lost friendships.” They also explain how the single focuses on the collaboration of their instrumental voices to fuse together for a larger one. The single reportedly “features both moments of subtlety and strength.”

Following the graduation of the members, the band has split between Cleveland and Columbus. They want to reassure their followers that they still make time to jam and create music.

The track was mixed and mastered by KJ Mueller of Cranberry Casket and Kid Primitive and recorded by Evan Seurkamp of The Laughing Chimes.

Fans should be on the lookout for the release of their new EP and an upcoming show.
