The punk rocker trio of TAKAAT continues their relentless tour across the U.S., moving into October and November to jump from coast to coast. 

The band plans to play in lesser-visited locales and atypical venue spaces, priorities that nearly mirror their love for freedom of exploration and chaotic energy.

TAKAAT is the project of singer and guitarist Ahmoudou Madassane, bassist Mikey Coltun and drummer Souleymane Ibrahim. The trio, who are best known as the rhythm section for Nigerian musician Mdou Moctar, take inspirations from the sounds and energies of Hausa bar bands, gritty soukous and post-punk to create music that is intense, dark, and energetic.
