Ohio University’s student-run record label, Brick City Records, revealed their current lineup of artists. The 2025-2026 roster includes Ananke, Hxnnah, Voxglove and Space Kid.
The record label announced the new lineup in an Instagram post, portraying the four signed artists as wanted suspects being tracked down by an Athens detective.
Brick City’s Treasurer, Brody Beswick, talked about the collaborative process that the label’s team accomplished in order to sign the four artists.
“We were sent off to go look around Athens and Southeastern Ohio for any acts that were really good,” Beswick said. “We all presented our artists, and then the ones that stood out the most – the top four out of probably like 15 – were selected. So, we’re very excited for them.”

Emily Decker is a member of Brick City’s marketing department and works with Ananke’s team. She stated that the marketing teams collaborate with the artists to find ideas that best represent their artistic personalities.
“We just recently did a presentation yesterday where we would put a GoPro camera on [Ananke’s vocalist and guitarist] Marty Bradesca’s head and let him do his thing!” Decker said.
Brick City’s artists all cover an eclectic array of musical interests. Hxnnah delivers dreamy, melodic alternative R&B; while, Voxglove specializes in hazy, texture-heavy pop. For the more abrasive ears, Space Kid brings catchy garage rock; while, Ananke entrances listeners with their psychedelic sound.
“The main thing that I’m interested in this lineup compared to years past is just the sheer variety of it,” Beswick said.
“There’s a mix of different genres and that’s what I really like about it,” Decker said. “You have Hxnnah who is R&B; you have Anake who is alt-rock; Space Kid [plays] in that indie rock kind of thing.”
Brick City’s new signees are set to perform at the Halloween Block Party on Saturday, October 25, from 5:45 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
“Every single artist is going to be there. I think Ananke is starting it off; it’s just going to be a blast,” Beswick said.
