On Nov. 7, Hayley Williams shared dates for her solo tour across America and Europe for 2026 with her third studio album Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party. With the COVID-19 pandemic foiling plans for her original 2020 solo tour with album Petals for Armor, this will be the first time Williams takes the stage by herself, along with supporting acts Water From Your Eyes and Snuggle.
The singer quietly leaked her own tour dates via her website with no formal announcement in the same manner she leaked Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party. As excitement grew, Williams released a statement via Instagram three days later to acknowledge her upcoming tour and announce the importance of giving her fans priority.
The growing presence of scalpers has meant that many fans struggle to secure tickets to their favorite concerts. Scalpers use bots to grab large amounts of tickets that they can then list for resale at much higher prices. Ticketmaster, one of the top ticketing distribution companies used by musicians, has recently come under fire for allegedly aiding scalpers in buying and reselling tickets. In her statement, Williams opens up about the tiring process of vetting fair ticketing sites for her tour:
“It’s been tough (to say the least), and unfortunately, there’s just no way to guarantee that zero tickets get scalped. But we’re doing our best. In short, I’m trying out a platform called Openstage to host a verified presale registration. Openstage’s fan validation system helps verify human fans and reduce bots and scalpers, giving my fans a better chance to access tickets.”
With Openstage, those interested in buying tickets will be required to register their email and phone number with the site. Registered users will receive a code for presale in an effort to diminish the number of scalpers and bots. Williams reminds fans that tickets are still sold on a first-come, first-served basis using this system.
Face value ticket exchanges are available, and ticket transfers are disabled for all shows except for NYC, Chicago and Amsterdam due to laws. Due to high demand, presale registration has been extended to 7 p.m. EST and 12 a.m. GMT. Visit Williams’ website to register for a code, and be ready to purchase tickets on that platform on Friday, Nov. 14.
