Australian artist Chet Faker is back with a new track. On Janurary 22, Faker released “Over You,” a moody electronic single that leads into his upcoming album A Love For Strangers, out digitally on February 13 and physically on April 24 via BMG.
Along with the single release, Faker announced a month-long North American headline tour. The tour kicks off on April 30 in Los Angeles and concludes in New York City on May 30.

“Over You” dives into the slow unraveling of a relationship that was never meant to last. Over a nostalgic breakbeat, the track layers soft vocals that reflect on lost time and the struggle of knowing when to finally let go. It follows his previous single “Can You Swim?” and continues the emotional arc Faker has been building throughout this album’s launch.
A Love For Strangers marks a return to creative exploration for Nick Murphy, the artist behind the Chet Faker name. The album follows 2021’s Hotel Surrender and arrives after the 10th anniversary of his breakout album Built On Glass. With a career that includes experimental releases under his real name, Faker’s latest project shows he is still evolving and pushing his sound forward. Fans can stream “Over You” now and catch him live when the tour hits major cities across the U.S. and Canada this spring.
