Friday, January 23, local bands The Hounds and Airbag played a free show at Donkey Coffee with an 8 p.m. set.

The Hounds is an alt-rock band that debuted at Ohio University’s “Battle of the Greens” this October. The band is excited to be debuting original material as well as some covers of familiar indie hits. Jacob Moses, one band member shares, “We’re excited to be back tonight at our first ‘real’ gig. This is the first show of the year for us and we hope to keep building momentum in the coming semester.” 

Airbag also competed in the “Battle of the Greens” as well as ACRN’s own Battle of the Bands shortly after in November. “It’s going to be a little more stripped back than our usual gig, trying to take advantage of the more intimate mood in that venue. We’re so excited to get back to playing this semester,” reads a statement from the band.
