On Friday COIN dropped “I Think I Met You In A Dream”, the new single from their upcoming album UNCANNY VALLEY, which will be released on March 25.

The track comes after the band’s highly anticipated tour was cut short due to the rapid spread of the Omicron variant back in December. Fans were excited to see their quick and lively return to the alternative music scene as teasers for the song began circulating Thursday, due to social media posts from members Chase Lawrence, Ryan Winnen and Joe Memmel

“I Think I Met You In A Dream” is a whimsical, psychedelic love song that encapsulates all the feelings of young love. Unlike its predecessors “Chapstick” and “Cutie,” this track is stripped down to frontman Chase Lawrence’s vocals and minimal usage of synths, allowing for listeners to close their eyes, take a deep breath and relax. The lyric video was equally therapeutic, with a glowing green field covered in flowers welcoming listeners into a new world created by COIN.

Lawrence took to Instagram the night before its release saying, “My favorite song ever written is out tomorrow,” which made fans eager to hear what was in store for this new era of COIN.

COIN has had past success with their albums How Will You Know If You Never Try in 2017 and Dreamland in 2020, but this new release shows the band is treading in new waters and experimenting with their sound like never before. Fans should be ecstatic to know their next album is almost a month away from release.
