Announced in early December of last year, their 2023 North American Tour would be the first piece of substantial activity from the Sacramento collective since 2019’s nearly thirty minute single, “Gmail and the Restraining Orders.” Their most recent full-length record being 2018’s critically acclaimed, Year of The Snitch.
Unfortunately for upcoming concert-goers, Death Grips has had its fair share of ongoing controversies regarding their knack for sporadic live-show cancellations. At times they would be scheduling performances they had never intended to perform while canceling last minute. Most infamously in 2013, after not appearing to their Lollapalooza set, the staff instead played pre-recorded music to the projection of a fan’s typed suicide note and cancelled every live appearance slated afterwards as audiences destroyed both band and festival equipment.
